October 2008: Supply Oak Flats Bowls Club
Worms Downunder supplied Oak Flats Bowls Club with a number of worm farms from its Worm Habitat range. The Bowls club near Woollongong, NSW aims to recycle all of its organic waste on-site using vermiculture.

July 2008: Assisting Caloundra Pony Club
Worms Downunder is assisting Caloundra Pony Club with its management of organic waste issue. The Pony Club produces approximately 1 ton of horse manure a week in its paddocks and arena. However Worms Downunder is now processing this waste into nutrient rich castings using vermiculture units.

June 2008: Helping a local farmer
Worms Downunder is helping a local farmer in the Glass House region become self-sufficient in producing fertilizers and soil enhancers for its 26 acres of crop using an on-site vermiculture unit. So far the farm has taken stock of 40 000 breeding worms which will be used to stock a much larger facility which will eventually turn the farms green waste into valuable castings and liquid.

April/May 2008: Environmental days on the Coast
Worms Downunder has participated in numerous environmental days on the coast giving talks and demonstrations at World Environment Day, Creek Sustainability Day and Compost Week. Paul and Pene were also interviewed on Hot FM, Farm Radio and ABC Radio and appeared in the Sunshine Coast Daily.

April 2008: Export of Worms to Egypt
Worms Downunder is working with a group in Cairo dealing with the country's waste problem. 10kg of mixed compost worms have been flown out to Egypt to set up a breeding programme for what will eventually become a large scale waste management facility.

Jan 2008: Launch of the Worm Habitat
Worms Downunder has recently developed its own worm farm range in response to requests for a large domestic worm farm which is low-cost, movable and easy to maintain. The Worm Habitat is a 240L capacity 2 wheeled bin and retails for $199 or $279 with 4000 worms, bedding and instruction booklet (PDF 2.42 mB)

May 2007: Worms Downunder on Totally Wild
We were fortunate enough to have the crew of Totally Wild come to film our worm farm. Our 3 minutes of fame was shown in May 2007. In the show, we talked about the positive impact of worms on our environment and how back yard worm farms can help keep millions of tonnes of garbage out of landfill.
